A young man in Boulder tried to break into a medical-marijuana dispensary while out walking his dog last month, police said Wednesday.
Boulder police released a surveillance photo showing a man who appears to be in his early 20s, with a leashed beagle in tow, trying to force his way into Root Organic MMC at 5420 Arapahoe Ave. at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 28.
Police believe the same man tried again to gain entry several hours later, but nothing was taken either time.
The burglar is white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 to 180 pounds, with curly or wavy brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tom Dowd at 303-441- 3385, or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or 1-800-444-3776.
