WASHINGTON — Rep. Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan abandoned his long-shot campaign for the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday after months of being locked out of debates and getting little national attention. McCotter, a rock-‘n’-roll guitarist and free-market conservative, will now concentrate on getting re-elected.
