The University of Colorado Hospital was named the highest-performing academic hospital in the United States for delivery of quality health care by the University HealthSystem Consortium.
The consortium, a 114-member alliance of the nation’s leading nonprofit academic medical centers, gave the Aurora hospital the Quality Leadership Award.
The award cites academic hospitals with the best outcome scores in patient safety, clinical effectiveness, clinical efficiency, focus on patients, mortality and outcomes, regardless of ethnicity or socioeconomic background.
