A man was seriously injured in a car-versus-pedestrian accident at Regent Drive and Kittredge Loop on the University of Colorado campus about 6 p.m. today.
The pedestrian was reported to have suffered a serious head injury in the crash.
The victim, who police say appears to be a CU student, was taken to Boulder Community Hospital. His condition is not known.
Boulder police Sgt. Jack Walker said the man was crossing Regent when he was hit by a blue Toyota pickup truck.
The driver is a CU student, Walker said, but his name was not released. Walker said the sun may have been in the driver’s eyes, and the victim was not in a crosswalk.
