Denver police are investigating a bank robbery this morning, after a man wearing a baseball hat with the breast cancer awareness pink ribbon on the front, gave a teller a note demanding money.
At 9:16 a.m., officers were called to the Bank of the West at 2970 Quebec Street, on a hold up alarm, said Sonny Jackson, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
An unidentified man entered the bank and presented a note demanding money.
No one reported seeing a weapon.
The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen traveling southbound toward 29th Avenue.
The suspect may be the same man who robbed a bank in the Stapleton area last week, Jackson said.
The suspect in that robbery matched the description from this morning and was reportedly wearing the same baseball hat. He gave the teller a note and no one reported seeing a weapon.
The suspect is described as being in his early 40s and weighing 180 pounds. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall, wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and sunglasses.
