UNITED NATIONS — Venezuelan’s foreign minister has read a letter to the U.N. General Assembly in which President Hugo Chavez harshly criticizes the world body for allowing injustice around the world and serving U.S. interests.
Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro read the letter Tuesday as his country made its annual address at the opening of the new General Assembly. Chavez, who is fighting cancer, did not travel to New York.
