Pat Green is not quite a “big name” country artist, but he sings the same type of “everyman” songs that made performers like Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw into arena superstars. No, instead, Green is more of a down-home fella, and when he tells stories of broken hearts or pick-up trucks, you get the sense that he’s not (necessarily) sleeping in a McMansion every night. Catch Green tonight at Denver’s temple of country music, the Grizzly Rose. Tickets, $28.25, are available through Ticketmaster.
Cut Copy wowed us at the Austin City Limits Music Festival earlier this month, and the Australian quartet will be in town for a headlining show at the Ogden Theatre on Tuesday. Part ’80s new wave, part indie synth-pop, it’s an energetic concoction that’s not to be missed. Tickets, $30-$35, are available through Ticketmaster.
