BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz.—Authorities in northwestern Arizona say the body of a Nevada man has been pulled out to the Colorado River after an apparent drowning.

Bullhead City emergency crews were called to the river near Big Bend State Park about 1:30 p.m. Friday after it was reported that a man had gone under water and had not resurfaced.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter and the Bullhead City Fire Department’s dive team assisted in the search of the missing man.

The dive team recovered the body, which was identified as 24-year-old Lee Patrick Garcia of Laughlin.

According to the victim’s girlfriend, their vehicle broke down in Laughlin so they decided to swim to Big Bend State Park where their friends were camping.
