BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—Summit County officials have some suggestions on ways the state can cut red tape after Gov. John Hickenlooper asked local communities for help.
The county says state and local governments could save money by speeding up highway construction contracts and improving records for state sales tax collections.
According to the Summit Daily News ( ), county officials complained that highway contracts can take more than a year and the Department of Revenue state tax records are inaccurate.
So far, the state has not released its plan to cut red tape.
