Senior Richard Medina and sophomore Shalaya Kipp led the University of Colorado cross country teams to victory Saturday at the 26th annual Rocky Mountain Shootout at the Buffalo Ranch on CU’s South Campus.

Medina and Kipp took first place overall to earn their first Rocky Mountain Shootout crowns.

Medina won the 8-kilometer race with the fourth- fastest time in course history, crossing the finish line in 24 minutes, 39 seconds.

Pioneers, Falcons fit to be tied in soccer.

The University of Denver and Air Force men’s soccer teams played to a 0-0 draw on the DU campus.

The Pioneers (2-4-3, 0-0-1 MPSF) and Falcons (6-2-1, 0-0-1) both had 22 shots in the game with DU putting 11 shots on goal, compared with nine by Air Force.

DU held the advantage in corners at 6-3.

Eagles add CC product to roster.

The Colorado Eagles, an affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and the AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps, added Colorado College alumnus Aaron Slattengren to their camp roster.
