Lightning set a remote area of Rocky Mountain National Park ablaze Saturday afternoon near where last year’s Cow Creek fire occurred.
The fire, which at last report covered less than one acre of land west of Glenhaven and north of Estes Park, is having no impact on roads or trails in the area.
Wind conditions this afternoon could make smoke from the fire more visible, but park officials say the fire is under control and will be monitored throughout the evening.
