WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.—Eastbound lanes of a Denver-area freeway have reopened after a 12-vehicle pileup during the morning rush.

Police in suburban Wheat Ridge say the crash occurred at about 6 a.m. Monday on Interstate 70. The lanes reopened before 9 a.m.

Westbound lanes weren’t affected.

There was no immediate report on injuries.

Police say the pileup included two motorcycles. They say it was caused by an unknown slick substance on the highway.
