After a nearly record-setting collapse in July, Colorado’s mountain-town real estate sales rebounded in August with vigorous sales that put the heavy-hitter Pitkin and Eagle counties back on track for a $1 billion year.

Land Title’s monthly analysis of sales in Pitkin County showed $90.4 million in sales, up from a near record low $39.4 million in July.

Eagle County also surged to $82.6 million in sales in August following a weak July, according to Land Title’s analysis.
