Root Sports will broadcast eight University of Colorado women’s basketball games this season, along with a Buffs women’s soccer match and one CU volleyball contest. Meanwhile, The Mtn/CBS Sports Network announced its women’s basketball schedule, which includes Colorado State and Wyoming games.
The first CU game on Root is a home game Nov. 30 against San Francisco. CU’s game vs. the University of Denver gets Root coverage on Dec. 8. The first of five Pac-12 matchups is Stanford, in Boulder, on Jan. 14.
The CU women’s soccer team’s TV game is Oct. 16 vs. Oregon. The volleyball match versus Washington State goes under the lights Nov. 18.
The first of six CSU women’s basketball games is the rivalry game vs. CU on Jan. 20 on The Mtn. The Wyoming Cowgirls are on TV five times, including a Border War matchup vs. CSU on CBSSN on Jan. 21.
Rams sweep Redhawks.
Katelynn Steffan and Brieon Paige each had eight kills to lead the Colorado State volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of visiting Seattle, 25-18, 25-16, 25-14. It was the fifth straight win for the 23rd- ranked Rams.
DU’s Bonin bows out.
The University of Denver’s Enej Bonin lost two matches at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships and was eliminated. In the main draw, Bonin dropped a 7-5, 6-2 decision to Tulsa’s Ashley Watling in the round of 32, then suffered a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 loss to Illinois’ Stephen Hoh in the consolation bracket.
