FORT CARSON, Colo.—Two Fort Carson soldiers have been killed in combat in Afghanistan.
The Defense Department said Monday that Capt. Joshua S. Lawrence of Nashville, Tenn., and Capt. Drew E. Russell of Scotts, Mich., died Saturday in Kandahar Province from wounds they suffered from a rocket-propelled grenade.
Lawrence was 29. Russell was 25.
Both were assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division.
