Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a Colorado Springs convenience store at gunpoint Monday night.
At about 10:13 p.m., officers were called to the Diamond Shamrock convenience store at 1740 Jet Wing Dr., on a report of an armed robbery, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department’s blotter.
Officers arrived at the convenience store minutes after the suspect fled the store. Police later learned that a man armed with a black semi-automatic handgun entered the store and demanded money.
The man, who has not been identified, collected an undisclosed amount of cash before he likely ran to an awaiting vehicle.
The suspect was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing black pants, black jacket with a red shirt underneath.
Police dogs were also used to search for the suspect.
