The Nov. 11 season-opening men’s basketball game between Air Force and Army has been added to the CBS Sports Network’s television schedule with a 7:30 p.m. MST start time.
Army and Air Force are scheduled to play the opening game in the All-Military Classic tournament in Clune Arena. The Citadel and Virginia Military Institute play at 10 p.m. Irv Moss, The Denver Post
Metro State men beat No. 1 Fort Lewis.
Freshman Josh Buysse scored his first career goal on a second- half penalty kick to give the Metro State men’s soccer team (8-5-1, 6-4-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference), ranked No. 18 in Division II, a 1-0 win over No. 1 Fort Lewis (13-1-0, 9-1-0) in Durango.
It was the 100th career victory for Roadrunners coach Ken Parsons.
• The University of Denver women’s soccer team (13-2, 7-0 Sun Belt) scored three goals in 16 minutes in the second half to beat host Florida Atlantic (5-8-1, 1-5-1) 3-0.
Kalie Vaughn, Bria Beardsley and Katy Van Lieshout scored for the Pioneers.
• Lucie McDowell scored in the 46th minute to give Wyoming a 1-0 lead, but Natalie Jenks tied it in the 89th minute for New Mexico, and the Cowgirls and Lobos played to a 1-1, double-overtime tie in Albuquerque.
• JJ Wykstra’s header off a corner kick by Kimmie Feidler in the 67th minute gave Northern Colorado a 1-0 win over host Portland State.
