Form and function come together with grace in the current contemporary pottery show at Plinth Gallery, in the River North Art District (). Plinth is devoted to showcasing fine ceramic works. “The collected look” makes a move
After more than a decade in Cherry Creek North, the celebrated home decorating outpost Djuna has relocated to The Collection, the antiques and design market at West Ninth Avenue and Broadway in Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood. To celebrate the new 6,700-square-foot showroom space, today from 2 to 5 p.m., Djuna hosts “Vino & Vignettes,” a grand- opening sale in which select merchandise is marked down 20 to 30 percent, and customers can enjoy complimentary refreshments. Some local homeowners are enjoying their proverbial 15 minutes of fame this month as Season 3 of “Rescue Renovation” on the DIY Network is spotlighting four difficult Denver house projects. The show tells the story behind do-it-yourselfers who have “gotten in over their heads” with a home renovation. If that sounds familiar — and you already have funds set aside for the remodel — you could be a candidate for this reality TV show’s next season as casting is underway in the Denver area. Interested? An oldie but goodie
Denver’s Old House Society plans to wake the dead from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 22 when it concludes this year’s “Sidewalk Strolls” through historic neighborhoods with time spent in one of Denver’s oldest and most eclectic areas: the Baker neighborhood. These events offer participants a chance to walk and learn about an area’s noteworthy architecture and newsworthy residents — current and past. But unlike past Sidewalk Strolls, this one includes ghosts and goblins. Tickets are $15 at select King Soopers and City Market stores, or at .
