DENVER—The owner of a cleaning company that left a family dog hit by a car under a dining table says she ordered her employees to leave because the dog was aggressive.

Posh Maids owner Miranda Pallone tells KMGH-TV () she told her maids to leave the house because she was worried about their safety.

Robin Lohre says she hired Posh Maids for a cleaning job and left for an errand. Lohre says she told the maids not to let the dog out of the house.

Lohre says when she returned home with her 6-year-old daughter, the two found the dog dead underneath the table.

Lohre has filed a lawsuit claiming negligence and emotional distress.
