FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A Fort Collins man is facing charges after he sold a bighorn ram’s skull on the Internet.

Colorado wildlife officials say 39-year-old William Robert Sutton sold the skull to an undercover officer for $350 last year. He is facing charges of illegal sale of wildlife and bonded out Saturday on $350 bond.

According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan ( ), it’s illegal to sell a ram’s skull if it hasn’t been tagged through Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Sutton is charged with a felony punishable by up to three years in prison and a fine up to $100,000. Sutton says he found the skull in a canyon.
