An El Paso County couple was charged today with with planning and carrying out the murder and robbery of the woman’s ex-boyfriend, 55-year old Robert Miles, Saturday night.
The woman, 47-year-old Traci Adams, and 48-year-old Mark Manyik initially called law enforcement to the home they share near Calhan, saying Miles was shot after he broke in, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department said this afternoon.
When officers arrived, they found Miles, who had been shot in the abdomen but was still alive. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
In addition to murder, the pair are accused of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.
The Sheriff’s department released no other details, citing the ongoing investigation.
Adams and Manyik are being held without bond in the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
