Campus police arrested a 29-year-old pizza cook from Broomfield this morning on charges that he sexually assaulted one woman and stole other women’s clothing and towels as they showered at a University of Colorado Boulder residence hall.
The woman, who lives in the Williams Village Northresidence hall, said a man later identified as Nathan William Wood gave her and several friends a ride from Boulder’s University Hill district Sunday night. She said the man accompanied her and her friends to her dorm room.
“The female fell asleep and later awoke to find Wood assaulting her,” CU police stated in a media release.
Other women also called police to report a man who matched Wood’s description prowling in the women’s restrooms inside the dorm, removing clothing and towels as women showered.
Campus police arrested Wood at the residence complex at about 9:30 a.m. today.
Wood pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor, last year after he was originally charged with entering a premises for the purpose of spying. He listed his occupation as “delivery cook” at a Broomfield Pizza Hut, and said in court papers he had worked there since January.
Wood is being held in the Boulder County Jail on a sex assault charge, four counts of trespassing, three counts of burglary and three counts of theft.
His booking photograph was not released because police are continuing to interview students.
