Former employees of a defunct dog racing track in Commerce City took one last stroll down memory lane last week.

Kevin Gartland and his daughter Heidi have a unique perspective of the former Mile High Greyhound Park, which sits on 65 acres of land near Highway 2 and East 62nd Avenue. Not only did they work at the track, they lived there year round during its heyday, from 1976 to 1991.

Kevin Gartland served as a maintenance supervisor for 14 years at the track, living out of a small housing unit on the west end of the property with his daughter.
