FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A Fort Collins chiropractor and his wife could face prison time after pleading guilty to obstructing and impeding the IRS.
Gregory and Mary White, both 66, pleaded guilty earlier this month in federal court. They are due to be sentenced in January.
The Coloradoan reports ( ) IRS investigators had accused them of falsely filing for large tax refunds, and then lying to investigators about their income, assets and property when questioned. They also said Gregory White failed to file income tax returns in certain years.
The two ran White Chiropractic Center. A message left at the center’s number by the newspaper wasn’t returned Monday.
