Robert Walters was sentenced to life without parole Monday for killing his girlfriend after he claimed she exposed her breasts to cameras at a Denver strip club.
Walters, 25, staged a 2009 car crash to make the beating death of Brittney Brashers, a U.S. Air Force Airman from Colorado Springs, look like an accident. A Denver jury convicted Walters of first-degree murder.
Brashers, 22, was found dead inside her car Nov. 17, 2009. Walters had staggered from the wreck with minor injuries. During the crash investigation, Walters’ then-wife told authorities he had confessed to killing Brashers.
