In a national campaign to bring awareness to Bristol Bay in Alaska, Trout Unlimited is hosting a screening of “Red Gold” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Oriental Theater, 4335 W. 44th Ave. After the movie, there will be a panel discussion. The environmental documentary takes a look at the troubles at the bay, which is home to one of the biggest sockeye salmon runs. Denver is one of seven stops to raise awareness of proposed gold and copper mining. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public.
