DENVER—First American Title has been fined more than $300,000 for title insurance law violations in Colorado.
According to the Denver Post ( ), the Colorado Division of Insurance says the company failed to require agents to keep adequate records for title underwriting and failed to require agents to remit title premiums on time.
The company provides title and settlement services.
First American Title did not return a phone call on Tuesday seeking comment.
