A medical-marijuana provider conducting business in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs mall told police he was carjacked, but the robber didn’t take his car.

The hazy incident happened at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at 1725 Briargate Parkway, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.

The victim, who is from Pueblo West, told police he was doing business in the parking lot of the Promenade Shops at Briargate, in front of a P.F. Chang’s, with a client from Denver when he was robbed at gunpoint.

The client brought a friend, and the friend brought a gun, police said.

“The victim reported that the suspect took his keys, but not his car,” the blotter said.

Police said there were no witnesses to the crime.

It wasn’t clear whether the robbers made off with marijuana and cash, or if the pot seller had a name and address of the client.

Both suspects remain at large.
