All northbound lanes of Interstate 25 at 20th Avenue have been re-opened..
Colorado Department of Transportation reports the road was closed from about 4:43 p.m. until just before 7 p.m. due to a serious accident.
Matt Murray, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department said the accident was a two-car accident, and one person has been transported to the hospital with serious head injuries.
The accident was cleared just before 7 p.m., but Murray said no other details are yet available.
CDOT was offering to allow drivers to use HOV lanes for free until the lanes were re-opened.
