SANDY, Utah — Alvaro Saborio scored two goals to lift Real Salt Lake to a 3-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders in the first leg of their Western Conference semifinals series Saturday night.
Ned Grabavoy tacked on a late goal to give Salt Lake a three-goal advantage going into the second and final leg of the series Wednesday.
Salt Lake pressed the attack throughout much of the first half, and Saborio finally took advantage by scoring in the 41st minute.
Saborio came up big again in the 53rd minute, and Grabavoy capped off the scoring in the 88th minute.
