As the Tim Tebow bandwagon stalled Sunday with the 45-10 loss to Detroit, two ex-Broncos gave viewers and listeners some reasons for it.

Former all-pro safety John Lynch was in the Fox booth as an analyst while former quarterback Brian Griese was in his analyst position for KOA radio. Neither tried to sugarcoat Tebow’s bad performance against the Lions, with Griese being the most critical for his local audience.

After Tebow threw an interception that Detroit returned 100 yards for a touchdown, Griese noted: “Mistakes like that certainly give fuel to his critics.”

Griese also speculated that the Broncos, with nine games left, could be changing quarterbacks again.

Lynch was highly critical of Tebow’s passing style, particularly when Fox cameras focused on his unorthodox stance. Words and phrases such as “overthrown,” “inaccurate” and “not a pretty ball” were a regular part of the commentary by each analyst.

And they noted, accurately, that Tebow’s problems playing quarterback Sunday weren’t the only ones facing the 2-5 Broncos.
