A car crashed into a store front in Aurora this morning.
The accident happened at about 10:10 a.m. at a Family Dollar Store, 16981 E. Iliff Ave., according to the Aurora Police Department.
The driver, an 89-year-old woman, pulled up to the store in a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville and mistakenly hit the gas pedal, gunning the car into the store, said Lt. Charles DeShazer, an Aurora Police Department spokesman.
The car shattered a glass window, and the hood and front fenders penetrated the store space, DeShazer said.
There was no structural damage to the building and no one was injured in the one-car accident.
The driver was issued a citation for careless driving.
