A weekend storm could bring more than 4 inches of snow to the Western Slope, but sun and mild temperatures are expected in the metro area.

In Denver today, skies will be mostly sunny, and the high temperature is expected to be around 55 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight’s low is predicted to dip around 34 degrees with mostly clear skies and a slight breeze.

On Saturday, the high temperature in the metro area will peak around 48 degrees. The day will be sunny, but winds in some areas could reach up to 33 mph.

Clear skies are predicted for Saturday night, when the low temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny in Denver, with a high temperature around 46 degrees. Temperatures Sunday night could get as low as 26 degrees.

A chance of snow will return to the metro area on Monday. Temperatures are expected to peak around 43 degrees and there is a 10 percent of rain or snow after noon.

A winter weather advisory will be in place for the Western Slope beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday and remain in place through 9 a.m. on Sunday.

A fast moving storm is expected to move into the area late tonight and last well into Saturday night. A second storm will follow Sunday night.

The two systems are expected to bring 4 to 8 inches of snow to the high country.
