Barnes & Noble, Inc. today expanded its portfolio of NOOK devices with the introduction of NOOK Tablet, the company’s fastest and lightest tablet with the best in HD entertainment.

NOOK Tablet offers access to popular movies, TV shows, music and more through entertainment services that include Netflix, Hulu Plus and Pandora, plus a collection of high-quality apps, fast Web browsing and email.

The tablet features access to the world’s largest digital bookstore via Wi-Fi.

Retail price on Internet preorders is $249; the unit is expected in stores by Nov. 17.
