Health researchers are seeking 1,000 Denver residents for a massive cancer study that will follow 300,000 Americans over two decades in search of wide-ranging medical insights.
The study wants men and women between ages 30 and 65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer. The research will analyze the subjects’ health and lifestyle facts to better assess cancer risk factors across the nation.
Past large studies, following a cross-section of the population over long periods of time, have helped prove connections between tobacco and cancer, risk factors from obesity, and the dangers of air pollution.
The study is being directed by the American Cancer Society. In Denver, Quest Diagnostics is serving as one of the information and appointment centers for people interested in the study.
Anyone interested in participating must sign up by Nov. 19. More information about the study and how to join is at .
