COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—Several Commerce City Council members are promising to reimburse taxpayers for overpayments and improper cash advances they collected over the past two years.

According to KCNC-TV ( ), some city council members were over-reimbursed for an annual municipal government conference.

Councilmembers Jadie Carson and Tracey Snyder agreed to repay the city more than $200. Councilman Jim Benson said he stayed another day and won’t reimburse the city because he was tired.

The station says council members also got cash advances on top of the reimbursements they received.
