DENVER—Drew Shore had a goal and two assists as Denver beat Colorado College 5-4 on Saturday to end a four-game winless streak in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

All three of Shore’s points came in the four-goal second period as the Pioneers (4-3-2, 3-2-2) took control.

Beau Bennett, Chris Knowlton, Jason Zucker and John Lee also had goals to go up 5-1 at 13:42 of the second period.

The Tigers (5-2-0, 3-2-0) came back on goals by Dakota Eveland and Archie Skalbeck in the second and Jeff Collett at 13:56 of the third.

Denver goalie Adam Murray made 14 of his 33 saves in the third period.

Joe Howe and Josh Thorimbert combined for 23 saves for Colorado College.
