Georgetown market. The Georgetown Christmas Market will take place Dec. 3-4 and Dec. 10-11. At this European-styled marketplace, visitors can enjoy roasted chestnuts, shopping, horse-drawn wagon rides, visits by St. Nicholas, high tea and more.

Snowscapes in Idaho. The Teton Arts Council and the city of Driggs, Idaho, will sponsor “SnowScapes: The Art of Sculpting Snow” competition as part of the Teton Valley Great Snow Fest on Jan. 10. Teams of sculptors will gather in downtown Driggs to create art from blocks of snow. All levels of experience are welcome. Awards will be presented at the Sunday “SnowBall.” First prize is $1,000. Team Captains must submit a design sketch and registration by Dec. 5.

Crested Butte ice carving. Crested Butte Mountain Resort will be filled with world-champion ice carvers Dec. 16-18 as they craft their art before visitors. On Saturday night, the audience can watch the ice carvers perform during an ice-sculpting show. Kids can have their names carved into an ice block for the finale.
