A 30-year-old Routt County hunting guide has been released from a hospital after he was accidentally shot Friday night by a hunter from Delaware who had hired him.
Jerry Cox of Meeker was wounded on a ranch east of the Moffat County line in Routt County. Authorities said Monday there was no reason to think hunter Thomas Scarfe shot Cox on purpose, but the 65-year-old could face careless hunting or other charges.
