Boulder police early this morning ticketed a group of people camping out along the Pearl Street Mall as part of the Occupy Boulder movement.

According to a police spokeswoman, officers issued a total of 11 tickets on charges that include camping, public urination and an “animal violation.”

A post on Occupy Boulder’s Facebook page said officers contacted campers at about 4:45 a.m.

“Everybody was ticketed $100, and a homeless person was arrested for outstanding warrants,” according to the post. “We stayed the rest of the night and are now discussing our options.”
