COLORADO SPRINGS — Animal-patrol officers are searching for the person or people they say abandoned 40 to 70 rabbits on the side of a Colorado Springs road Sunday.
The animals were rescued by Dream Power Animal Rescue as well as others who saw the white rabbits near Mr. Biggs Family Fun Center, 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd.
Erica Meyer, a spokeswoman for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, said the organization is offering a $500 reward for information on the case. Maria St. Louis-Sanchez, The Gazette
