WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Westminster police are trying to find the person who robbed a 91-year old Marine Corps veteran on Veterans Day.
Police said Wednesday that the man went grocery shopping with his wife of 65 years on Nov. 11. When they got home, he escorted her inside before returning to their car for their groceries. Police say that’s when someone tackled the man from behind and took his wallet.
The suspect ran to a getaway car, leaving the veteran in his driveway.
Police are withholding the victim’s name.
A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
