Nathaniel Rateliff headlines the Gothic Theatre tonight for what will surely be one of the season’s most memorable shows. Rateliff plans to perform a mix of new and old material with his full backing band, Fairchildren, in one of his largest hometown headlining dates of the year. Denver all-stars Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, Bad Weather California and A. Tom Collins will flesh out the eclectic bill and, with their respective fanbases, help fill the Gothic. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin has one of the longest names in indie-rock, and also one of the funniest. The Springfield, Mo., band hits the Hi-Dive on Wednesday with its Ozark brethren (and 2011 UMS headliners) Ha Ha Tonka in tow. While Ha Ha Tonka has more of an Americana, alt-country feel, its counterpart makes feel-good pop-rock that keeps the catchy hooks in the foreground of the song.
