It has been said that with age comes wisdom, but two 73-year-old former football players proved that adage wrong.
At a Canadian Football League legends luncheon last weekend, an old rivalry bubbled to the surface between former Hamilton defensive tackle Angelo Mosca and former B.C. Lions quarterback Joe Kapp. Mosca tells Kapp to “stick it.” And it escalates: Kapp hits Mosca in the shoulder with a microphone, Mosca takes a swing at the quarterback with his cane, and, well, Kapp knocks him off his chair.
After they are separated, Kapp yells, “Sportsmanship.” Hmm.
