Colorado Springs Police Department arrested a man Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder after police believe he tried to strangle his girlfriend.
Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend at about 2 a.m. Thursday.
Police believe the female victim was being strangled by her boyfriend, 36-year-old Adam Gilmour.
Gilmour had already fled the scene, but was later taken into custody when he returned to the victim’s home.
Gilmour was arrested for attempted second degree murder. The investigation is ongoing.
