Four Metro State starters scored in double figures as the host Roadrunners beat Western New Mexico 85-57 on Saturday night.
Metro, the third-ranked NCAA Division II team, improved to 7-0, 2-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while WNMU fell to 1-4 and 1-1.
Brandon Jefferson scored a game-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting and a team-high four assists and three steals. Reggie Evans added 15 points and five rebounds, also hitting 7-of-13 from the floor.
Northern Iowa 83, Colorado State 77
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Anthony James scored 28 points to lead Northern Iowa over the Rams in a Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge game.
James had eight rebounds as the Panthers (7-1) never trailed en route to winning their sixth straight game.
Dorian Green had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Rams (5-3). Wes Eikmeier added 19 points.

Brian Stafford scored 22 points for the host Pioneers (6-1), who shot 61 percent after halftime and opened up a 24-point lead midway through the second half.

Jasmine Cervantes recorded the first triple-double (13 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists) in school history as the Roadrunners (6-0 overall, 2-0 RMAC) broke the school record for points scored in regulation, topping the previous record of 108 against Colorado Mines on Feb. 11, 1992.
