Though their championship rings won’t be ready for the season opener because there’s not enough time to design and produce 25 pieces of personalized jewelry that could cost $40,000 apiece, the Mavericks still will be showcased on Christmas Day. Owner Mark Cuban has yet to have the rings designed. Cuban, who wanted to get input from Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd and Jason Terry but was not allowed to talk to the players during the lockout, said the players know they’ll get the bling at some point. “Hopefully, it’ll be nice and big,” Terry said of the rings.
