The Mesa County Coroner’s Office today named the young people killed in a three-vehicle crash between Fruita and Grand Junction Monday night.
Scott M. Wall, 21, and Breanna L. Daniels, 20, both from Casper, Wyo., died at the site on U.S. Highway 50 near 20 1/2 Road.
“The victims were in the area visiting family when the crash occurred,” the coroner’s office said in a news release.
Their 1989 Buick Skyhawk collided with the trailer portion of a semi that turned in front of it, and a pickup truck struck the car from behind, authorities said.
They were not wearing seatbelts, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
