New U.S. Census Bureau data released Wednesday puts more definition on income trends in Colorado over the past decade.
Median household income in the state fell an inflation-adjusted 9 percent from 1999 to 2010, according to an analysis of the census survey data by the Denver-based I-News Network.
Earlier, less complete data released in September put the decline in median household income in the state over the decade at 13 percent.
Lake and Pitkin counties saw household income fall the most, 17 percent, while income in Hinsdale County rose the most, 53 percent. Douglas County had the highest household income in 2010 at $99,200, and Costilla County had the lowest at $24,400. The state’s median household income in 2010 was $56,500.
