A man wanted for drug-dealing and other charges was arrested Wednesday at a motel in Windsor.
In addition to 33-year-old Jimmie Joe Montgomery of Fort Collins, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department arrested two women also wanted on a list of warrants.
Montgomery was listed by police as one of “Fort Collins Most Wanted” last month.
Jessica Renae Cunningham, 24, of Fort Collins had eight warrants for 12 charges, including motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding, identity theft, forgery and theft.
Meradeth Nicole Antolich, 39, of Fort Collins was wanted on two warrants alleging she failed to comply on theft charges.
Montgomery had four warrants for seven charges including racketeering, conspiracy and drug charges.
Last month, a grand jury in Denver handed up and indictment alleging Montgomery was a “runner” for a drug-dealing network that distributed large quantities of illegal drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine in northern Colorado, between January 2009 and September 2011.
At a press conference in Denver last month, State Attorney General John Southers announced the 94-count indictment that alleged a ring of 33 people distributed a million dollars’ worth of drugs a month in Colorado.
Raids on other suspected members netted 5 pounds of cocaine, a pound of methamphetamine, 26 pounds of marijuana, 15 guns and $90,000 in cash. About 10 vehicles were seized.
Neither Cunningham nor Antolich was named in that indictment.
This week, a Larimer County investigator looking for Montgomery, Cunningham and Antolich learned Montgomery had rented a U-Haul truck.
Yesterday, a patrol deputy spotted the truck parked at the AmericInn in Windsor, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy called the room, and Montgomery tried to escape through a window, but was immediately arrested.
In addition to the two women who had warrants, deputies wrote a summons to Peter Rudolph Antolich III, 32, alleging accessory to a crime.
